Interesting indeed. So 100's of millions in settlements isn’t from the 8-10 companies that we already know about, but from the 100+ infringers identified for round one. From that we might conservatively guess an average settlement of $2M or so per infringer all things being equal (which they won’t be).

It’s also becoming clear why they haven’t lately (and probably won’t from here on out) been releasing any dollar amounts or even order sizes from IFE. If everything remains confidential, the only real gauge for comparison is the bottom line quarterly revenues - which is probably just as well and as it should be. For the next 10Q, we might be able to deduce a ballpark value of the settlement based on the assumption that IFE orders were more or less in line with what’s been reported in the past; but since there’s no assurance of being accurate, maybe that would provide enough cover to meet the requirements of our confidentiality agreement.

Hmmm. I think we’re waiting at least until mid-November for any hint at the amount.
