The Senate has voted to approve an amendment calling for a $700 billion financial rescue plan just two days after a vote failed in the House. The amendment was approved in a 74-25 vote. Both presidential candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain, voted in favor. The Senate is now holding a separate roll call vote on the final passage of the bill.
