When to sell?

The many posts on this topic is very interesting. The mere fact that people are even thinking about it is exciting in itself. I sure am.

I have a friend who bought EDIG at a dime, then sold it at $24. She paid cash for a house, added a pool, cash for a Jag and PT Cruiser, and had enough $ left over to reach her dream of starting her own business.

I have a friend who bought QCOM with a $75K investment in the very early days, benefited with many splits, to include the 4:1 on 12/31/99, and had a cool $3.25 mln Jan, 2000. Sell it! "Nope, I'll owe a mln+ in taxes, and besides, it will keep going up and split again this year." We all know the rest of the story, and he ended up with $900K by the time he got out.

When EDIG gets to my break even point, that's when I'll really start paying attention. Once it has returned a decent profit, selling it on the way up in small chunks fits my style. Greed hurt my friend and I don't want that feeling...JMHO.

Good luck in the weeks and months ahead.
