We know for a fact, (there is a PR saying so), that EDIG had entered into a "Settlement Agreement" with a "Major manufacturer of electronic equipment...

SECOND:...

The "Settlement" was a one time payment for past infrigements and a license to use EDIG tech in the future, and a cross-licensing of the infringers technology for use bu EDIG...

THIRD:...

The amount of the "Settlement" is subject to NDA but will show up in public filings by EDIG such as 11/15/ Q. filing for the Q ending September 30, 2008.

The amount of the "settlement" was also inffered, by the several shareholders who atteneded the SHM of 9/17/08, to be significant based on comments made to them by RP and other Board members, and the cockiness and swagger they observed in manners of the company officials attending the SHM meeting...

In an e-mail from RP that was posted here, the identity of the party settlling with EDIG will become public when there is a PACER filing, which infers that the setteling party is one of the 8 parties sued by EDIG, and who are tpo attend a Status Conference in Texas by 10/28/2008.
