RP was talking of companies that did 100 billion, that's with a B, worth of business. Just how in the hell do you expect the ongoing lawsuits to generate ANY monies to EDIG if we settle for next to nothing, relatively speaking
We need some clarification as to revenue generated by the remaining 7 companies. Keep in mind that the numbers I am listing represent global dollars, the infringements cover only a portion of the totals.
LG 25 Billion
Avid 19 million
Nikon 7 billion
Olympus 110 billion
Casio 6 billion
Samsung 174 billion
Sanyo 20 billion
So far we see only 2 companies are in the 100 billion category and many more will probably fall in the 5-20 billion dollar range, with some of the large corporations like Intel, Sony, etc in the 100 billion dollar plus group.
In discussing the settlement amounts you have to consider what percent of the global revenue is represented by the infringement lawsuits, both past and future and what specific products are reported to be infringing, and as well the profit generated by these elements.
RP has stated the the 100s of millions represent the total companies identified. You do the math to determine an average.
