You got that right....the substructure of the APPS mentioned under the Linux OS...is MOS.....it could have been any OS.
The MOS is buried in the Harddrive decriptor and more than likely part of the file decriptor for the studio content....every file being written to the hard drive is running through the MOS....via Linux calls MOS strides.
MOS is very much a part of the system.
