I've had a King Red Doberman (120 Lbs), a Springer Spaniel, an Afgan (spelling?) and now on my 3rd Standard Poodle. The 1st 2 Standards were black females and the one I have now is a Cream Colored Male and 83 Lbs. Standards are said to be as intelligent as a 3 year old child. Don't shed, great indoor dogs and smart as heck. Only down side in the beauty shop every 6 weeks or so for a trim at $70. If one has allergies, the Poodle is the best way to go. His name is Bonaparte and I call him Boner.
