That would be portable and scalable(at the same time).
portability... meaning conformable to the attributes of ANY higher level os
scalable ...meaning contiguous files, non contiguous files, or a mix of either. From the simplest to the advanced.
With all that, a sequential read back and fast write....without directive structures.....i.e: FAT
445 is about more than battery powered CE products.
However, the attributes of 445 add so much more to a CE device in its most advanced form delivering with a power savings through varying degrees of augmentation.
Why a potential LG would not follow through with the full effect, especially with the current down turn, is beyond me.
IMO, the industry at large is going to shrink to a hellacious degree.
What Sandisk is doing with SSD's now is a sign....that the normally shadowed techniques are going bye bye.
