I can't believe any true investor would be disappointed that Edig has money coming in from any source, in any amount. If you haven't noticed they were just about broke.
I think the first several settlements are going to be low, compared to what is expected or hoped for. Edig needs to keep the doors open, and I'm sure DM wants to build a bit of a war chest, rather than spend their own money.

When a financial base is built, then holding out for a Markman hearing, then on to trial, will be more financially feasable. And our opponents will be aware of this also.
