"SAN DIEGO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 2, 2008 -- e.Digital Corporation (OTC BB:EDIG.OB - News), a leading technology innovator of dedicated portable entertainment systems and patented flash memory-related technology, announced today that it has entered into a settlement and cross-licensing agreement with Casio. Under the terms of the confidential agreement, Casio obtained a license and release on all e.Digital foreign and domestic patent rights, including the Company's Flash-R(TM) patent portfolio, and e.Digital obtained a license and release on any Casio patents that cover e.Digital's current product line."
Is the part in bold, typical boiler plate language in cross-licensing agreements? It looks like this agreement is skewed in Cassio's favor. The language seems to state that Cassio can use all EDIG's stuff on all of their current and future products but EDIG is limited to using Cassio's stuff on their current product line, only. Am I reading that incorrectly? Is the PR faulty?
