I think they were both very significant developments.
The pacer filings indicated they had until Dec 31 to settle, and yet it took them only 11 days to sort out the paperwork and issue the PR. This is a leading indicator for future settlements as we look to more pacer filings filling the pipeline.
On the Wencor front, it now appears that they are nothing more than a nuisance suit that may even yield a settlement in EDIG's favor on the countersuit. This has been a grey cloud due to the uncertainty it generatered and the fuel it gave to the FUDsters. It now appears it will not even make it to trial.
By the end of EDIG's fiscal '09 we could have a profitable company with no overhanging items and 200 unfringers to go.
