Another thought. The companies Edig is suing are so much larger and well established, I doubt if they consider EDIG a viable competitor even if they X-license some of their IP to them. EDIG would have a very difficult job of running with the bulls. It would be uphill all the way. Don't forget the past fiascos of competing directly.
My guess is they need EDIG's stuff more than EDIG needs theirs and they figure EDIG poses no danger to them even with some of their IP.
Just a guess, mind you.
