Goes without saying, they do not fear the company currency. When they except payment in reciprocation of an equity stake, or a loan repayment, that's it, the currency value is not fixed it floats..... you are free to do as you please with it.

They could have rolled the loan and not take the chance on company currency...knowing there is cash soon to be in the company coffer.

Do they see something special happening soon that was figured to be greater than 12 cents?
