Another reason I feel the shorter time frame, is something PN said in his presentation at the SHM 9/17/08, and echoed by RP during the Q&A period.
They mentioned making "sales calls" together, and my take is a DM fella was with them each time, to pull the flash card out of their device, to prove it would not function, WITHOUT BEING POWERED BY E.DIGITAL INSIDE. It was a warning of what would follow, if an alleged infringer wanted to play hard ball with us.
Thus, I do not believe we will even have to file on every company on that list of 184 we all saw that day, with only 10 not blanked out.
To me on that day, this sent a powerful message to the 50+ sitting there, on how firm of ground our patent portfolio stood on.
These EDIG guys were gleaming with confidence that day, and batting 1000 to date is proof in the pudding.
