''The Digeplayer by the way does not use flash - it is a hard drive based device''
I do believe that the MicroOS is based within internal flash firmware, it IMO does reside in the Digiplayer and the eVU upon the various the various 'block-managements schemes' which constitute guts the e.digital platform.
''EDIG just says they were the first to use flash in this particular type of device''
And IMO ... The FlashBack Voice Recorder incapsulated the complete idea of the worlds first ever handheld 'digital' flash based audio recorder, with editing and pc manipulation features inherent within its own internal flash controlers.... Remember Pats words and its 'Internal Circuitry'
Actually, here's what edig says:
In 1993, e.Digital unveiled and began marketing the first digital voice recorder with removable flash memory, powered by e.Digital’s then newly developed MicroOS®.
and the spin-starts-again
