RE: Skips commment 1996?
"Skip Matthews, Audio Market Development Manager of Intel Corporation's Memory Components Division, stated: ''Norris was the first company to implement solid state audio recording using Intel Flash memory. We are pleased that they plan to extend their technology base to support the use of the Miniature Card format in the development of new business and consumer products.''
Funny how it has all come full circle.....Sandisk started the CF format in 1994 and the cards were built on some 50 pin configuration using NOR matrix memory by Intel. Norris and Daberko formatted the cards.
Intel sponsored their own Miniature card format using NOR....Norris and Daberko formatted the cards.
The SD association started in 2000 headed by Sandisk with a new format using NAND having only a 9 pin configuration, Norris and Daberko formatted the cards.
Intel/Micron/Lexar(referencing 445 the most of anyone) start in late 2005 going into 2006......are now talking about letting IM Flash technologies go.
What the hell is a matter with Intel, are they that pompous they let Sandisk step all over them?
Norris and Daberko should be kings of the heap.
