SAN FRANCISCO—ON Semiconductor Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. have crossed-licensed their patent portfolios for an unspecified number of years under the terms of an agreement that resolves a patent infringement dispute, according to a statement released by ON Semi Wednesday (March 11).

The agreement resolves actions that were pending in the District of Delaware, releveant to DRAM technology, ON Semi said.

"The settlement supports our long-term strategic plans and reflects well on our willingness to develop flexible deal structures," said Keith Jackson, ON Semi president and CEO, in a statement.
