All good points.
But I do not think one can discount the importance of the role DM is playing and how that can open many doors for the company by generating a recurring revenue source. Think of DM as our venture capitalist awarding EDIG money but not charging interest or not weakening shareholders via dilution.
The DM situation is the best thing in 10 years that has happened and it should not be discounted imo.
Secondly, you raise a good point regarding current company products. They basically have one, the eVU. Fred has mentioned partnerships....that is a big unknown for EDIG as their only current partner is MEZZO. I spoke with RP last week and he stated that MEZZO is still in the picture. I also noticed that they will have a booth in Hamburg next week at the WAEA event.
What new partnerships are they working on? That is a most interesting concept. New partnerships may be the answer to launch into new markets quickly. That holds much promise.
Also, are these partherships connected with cross licensing projects? I don't know but am just asking. Considering Avid, Casio, Nikon, LG, Sanyo and Olympus all are involved in handheld portables, could there be some potential on this front...again, I do not know, but we do know the companies negotiated during settlement talks and came to some sort of agreement.
Bottom line is that EDIG is still here in better shape than ever and Fred is back, and is apparently quite connected with the financial structure that kept EDIG alive all these years.
Regardless of personal perceptions, Fred was the top guy when this stock rocketed, so for what it's worth, I hope lightening strikes twice.
