Then why have they been selected as a potential source of income? If what you're saying is true, Samsung would view EDIG as some pesky annoyance either to be ignored or placated with a nominal settlement. Why are they fighting the suit? Is it to defend against past transgressions or future ones? In any event, if it's as you say, EDIG's IP has little value to them, why not just give EDIG some money to go away? Maybe they've tried already and were rebuffed....who knows? What I do know is, everything said on this board about EDIG's future is just plain conjecture.

From EDIG's perspective, they(in the form of DM) obviously feel it's worth the effort and expense. I'm not a techie, Bill and neither are you. Unlike you, however, I have no idea how valuable EDIG's IP is to Samsung. I wish we had someone on this board who knew how to explaiin this stuff in lay terms. Dinkie...where are you?
