If, as you say, there is a "SETTLEMENT" with SAMSUNG, its terms may preclude EDIG'S independant operation outside the corporate structure of Samsung? As THE 60th company within the SAMSUNG Corporate Umbrella its role may be defined as such that precludes "proactive efoorts by EDIG to MARKET themselves"...

2) EDIG business plan never called for them to proactively market themseleves beyond that wgich related to Marketing their technology, which they have been doing since day one by spreading it around through their "Parners such as Portal Player, Samsung, Sony, HP, MSFT, Intel, etc., etc.., etc."...

The notion that at this late stage, (only few years left on most of patents", they sould start all over again is tenuous at best, and highly unlikely that they would spend good hard earned money from the IP Monetization efforts, to find out some NEW potential infirngers...Lol...Lol...IMO of course...
