You confirmed my assessment. BOW is Ahab and EDIG is Moby Dick.

Let's hope the plot resolves just like Melville's. :>)

BTW, some say Melville's novel was inspired by the account of a whaler called the Essex out of Nantuket in which a whale actually turned on ship and attacked it. The ship sunk and left the sailors adrift in the Pacific.

There have been a number of accounts of the fate of the sailers....including cannibalism. If any one is interested in a fascinating book about it, I recommend one called, "The Loss of the Ship Essex, Sunk by a Whale".
