RIM To Pay $267.5M To End Visto Patent Litigation

Law360, New York (July 16, 2009) -- Research In Motion Ltd., the brand behind BlackBerry cell phone products, will pay Visto Corp. $267.5 million to settle all pending patent litigation between the two companies.

Announced Thursday, the settlement ends a number of ongoing patents lawsuits, including a major lawsuit over wireless technology filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas....
