They appear as more of an update service than anything else. I don't think they are taking any sides in that blurb.

They are the "SilverSurfer/Jefother" pacer update service to the industry, the way I see it.

EDIG initiated the suit and then opted for the settlement, not the other way around. EDIG opted for settlement rather than take it to a court.

EDIG has been the subject of hatchet jobs in the past but this is not one of them, imo.
