Regarding the influx of cash, anyone know what the company intends to do with the cash?
1) Is it going to be invested in IFE space? If so, is bulk of cash going there?
2) Are we going to hire more engineers and get back to R&D for the next "big" thing we can "patentized"? Is goal to get licensing agreement with other companies?
In short, what is the company's purpose/mission now? It had been the whole "partner with multi-billion dollar OEMs" or "compete in the MP3 player space" and moved on to "IFE space" (thanks to Boyer - btw...i have no connection with Boyer - i just use his pic as a joke).
This all ties in with LL's idea of getting more transparency surrounding strategy. At this point, just want to know what kind of company EDIG is and wants to be. Don't think this is too much to ask...Some may feel EDIG has communicated this. I don't share that thought.
I do applaud what is going on right now regarding patent litigation. DM was a good choice of law firms from the results we've seen so far. That being said, DM is doing it's thing, what is being actively pursued in the halls, offices, and cubicles of Edigital. For example, if "healthcare" market (or travel/leisure) is being pursued, show me why, how it fits, where exactly is the market for an "IFE-like" offshoot, how do you expect to gain traction acceptance in this market.
The company spent money way back when on engineering and that work is now paying off. The money spent (from shareholder purchases of new issues of stock) on IFE, etc. kept the company floating but wasn't exactly fruitful in returns to shareholders. I want to know how they intend to handle themselves now and in the future.
