A partnership in the sense they origiannaly,( circa CES 2000), had would not give total control of EDIG IP to Samsung, and will remove from the table any consideration of Big Bucks, and there would be no "Obligation" for Samsung to resolve as DM will stay on board as EDIG attorney under current terms.

However, an EDIG "Bought Out by Samsung" will remain an independant operation as a company, part of the Samsung conglamorate, and will continue to make and sell widgets it inovates with perhaphs a piece of the action as part of the "Buy Out" to make up the difference emma is talking about...
