MEZZO, the Rolls-Royce plc backed Portable IFE Specialist’s full service Portable IFE Solution has successfully completed pilots working in parallel with airlines’ embedded IFE systems.

In early 2007 key airline partners with existing complimentary or pay-to-use embedded IFE systems were invited to integrate a Portable IFE Solution from MEZZO in order to provide increased service and revenue streams from passengers wishing to trade up to a better IFE experience.

“ Portable IFE offers airlines untapped flexibility beyond a straight alternative to a full AVOD retrofit or replacement. By introducing Portable IFE service onto our airline partners’ networks we can provide a superior, alternative entertainment offer. Our objective as always with these pilots is to ensure we have a scaleable platform that will generate sustainable, ancillary revenue streams for our airline partners and MEZZO. The Portable IFE service MEZZO offer airlines with an existing embedded IFE follows the typical MEZZO format - tight control parameters designed to promote onboard revenue streams and lower running costs without compromising the passenger experience.
