Yep, I believe I know why their are so many "lawyer jokes" as most adults have had to deal with a complex legal system and needed a lawyer to "fight" for them. These folks know just how important it is to have solid representation.

Then, there are folks on the other side of a nasty divorce or business issue that lose. Those are the folks that misplace their anger.

Since I have had to be on both sides of the legal system in business and my personal life, I appreciate the lawyers far more than I can state here. They have saved my bacon more than a few times and worth every penny we paid.

Of course, as in every profession, there are bad apples and the state Bar associations do need to do a better job of cleaning up their own house. My guess is the bad guys are very few in number, but get all the headlines.

In EDIG's case, I'm impressed with our management's choices in the digEcor case and with DM so far. I do want to know why we have not seen more filings, but I'm guessing we will get an answer at the SHM or in a sooner biz update.

John

P.S. Q: How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Six. One to change the bulb and five to write the environmental impact statement.
