You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
It would also represent a conflict of interest for DM to defend anyone being sued by edig. DM would have to sit out of both sides in that case if it ever comes up. I am not a lawyer but i think i understand that basic logic.
