It doesn't make sense to be a company who "allegedly " stole MOS to come to EDIG headquarters with a checkbook in hand ready to pay for a license. A smart business move would be to hold all cash until confronted or backed up against the wall. And with the previous settlement monies in the nuisance bracket (although stated today it will increase) why not hold off? If the Samsung settlement was for $50-$100 million it would be a different story
Lastly, it has been shown and repeated that the most prudent legal strategy is to serve summons first, ask questions later. I can't quote the exact ramifications of it but it was found to be a much more effective strategy.
It just seemed like a typical FF hype statement.
I sure hope they get more out of Samsung than the measly pittance of a settlement.
