RE: B/E Aerospace to upgrade Air Canada`s aircraft seating

Key words in this press release:

``The company will make and deliver its Spectrum seating for Air Canada`s narrow body fleet and its Bombardier regional jets. The upgrade is part of Air Canada`s expansion of an in-flight entertainment system.``

The word ``expansion`` suggests that the seat upgrade IFE deal involves adding more of the IFE that Air Canada already has (Thales?). But if that IFE already exists and the seats need replacement, why replace the IFE (rather than just pull the existing and re-install in the new seats)?

I had a look at the Air Canada pdf on their existing IFE offerings and found no pictures of the units, but found a very extensive catalog of current offerings. Offerings seem to vary depending on flight destination.

But I KNOW nuttin`!
