MM PERT... hiding a buy order?

What is that 'signal' at 1000.17 on the ASK side by PERT?

I've been noticing it for a while now... two weeks or so...?

PERT has an ASK of 1000.17..... take away the "1000" and you have .17 (that's not too complicated) but what does it mean?

If someone wants a LOT of shares at .17, (but does not want to pay more than .17, or chase the price UP) would they advertise it as such (remember EDIG was trading higher than that not too long ago... before PERT was ASKing "1000.17".)

In other words, would it make sense to place a large BID at .17, instead of taking advantage of when sellers start to get tired (again) and lose interest would be willing to sell below .17, as the price (again) is walked down?

No, IMO, to placing or 'advertising' the large BID at .17. Rather, they are and will be willing to buy from other MMs at up to .17.

Conversely, if PERT had a LOT of shares to sell at .17, but didn't want to get more than .17 for the shares, would that make sense.....? NO.

(If they didn't want to sell and get LESS than .17, and wanted to hide their ask size that MIGHT make sense as well, but then in that case, why would a seller (if they needed the funds) want to set a price above what has been the daily market price of EDIG?)

That wouldn't make much sense either, IMO, especially with the dollar weakening as much as it has been in the past week compared to gold and other investment vehicles. Add to that the fact that EDIG is profitable, is looking better than it EVER has compared to where it's been other than when it was technologically ahead of its time (and the market's) in 1999-2000.... someone trying to 'hide' a large "SELL" does not make much sense either today.

IMO (and I have NOTHING to back it up, other than a weak theory) is that someone is trying to get as much as possible, but does not want to pay more than .17.

Maybe that's the 1000.17 "signal".

Or maybe it means they don't want to sell.... but then why advertise any ASK at all, especially one that is coincidentally $1000.00 above a current 'resistance' level.
