I need to chime in here...

1st off, it was not I who removed the post. My style is to flag a post that is a clear violation of one or more of the 6 rules, then state my reason to do so, to allow other HL's or Agora to judge my actions. If a post is really...really bad, I may warn the user and delete the post myself, yet the processing is still there for others to see.

When I 1st joined, it became apparent amongst HL's that there was some unwritten rule not to publically expose who flagged a post. It was an observation on my part early on. When I became a HL, it was 2-3 months before I ever flagged one. I visited the manage violation tab frequently to learn what others were doing, plus sent PM's asking questions about the process itself. I promissed myself before I ever flagged a post to just follow the rules, never make it personal.

IMO, the level of transparency for a Pres or HL/Pres is an individual choice. If someone removes a post of a mail room/treas in "stealth mode" that is their choice. If they flag and remove it so that the actions can be seen by other HL's, then that is their choice.

Probably a good idea we leave this rest and hopefully finish off 2009 with some good EDIG stuff to chat about.
