Doc 103 is uploaded to box.net. doni, the list of attorneys and who they represent is shown in the doc but wouldn't paste properly here. There are attorneys representing multiple Parties. Also, it looks like there is some contention between the Parties as to whether a Markman Hearing is necessary. Pretty cool that Woody Jameson flew in from Atlanta to address the Court. Didn't RP say he was an amazing attorney, or something to that effect?

MINUTES OF RULE 16 CONFERENCE

4:14 p.m. Court in session.

- Counsel present in person and via telephone as listed above and may represent multiple parties.

- Purpose of hearing: Determine case status.

- Counsel Jameson addresses finalizing service on the remaining defendants.

ORDER:

- Plaintiffs will make a decision as to whether foreign service is going to be affected

and begin the process to do so by January 29, 2010.

- The Court addresses its practice standards, local rules and admission to practice in this Court.

- The Court addresses what the case is about and whether the parties believe a Markman hearing will be necessary.

- The parties disagree on whether a Markman hearing is necessary.

- The Court addresses counsel Featherstone’s request for permission to shorten the case caption.

- Parties are directed not to file Motions to Join and are advised to review and use the procedure in the federal criminal rules and local rules for joinder of motions. The Court addresses its procedures used in other multi defendant cases that would be practical in this case.

- This matter will be referred to Magistrate Judge Watanabe for pretrial administration.
