Settlements mean nothing to a JUDGE or to the USPTO. I know that you know that, but others here want to think settlement validate the patents. The word play used by companies helps promote that ignorance. When DM asks for higher fees, the patents IMO will be challenged. The challenge can be a big help. But it does have some risk.
Settlements do mean a great deal to EDIGs bottom line, and we need to stockpile funds to fight a court battle or reexam.
To soar to the price most hope for, we will need to validate the patents at some point IMO."
