That's my understanding.
Person A invents something, pays for a patent search, none found, files for a patent approval...no prior art. = patent pending. Ours was filed about 2 years ago for the encryption thingy.
Person B has no knowledge of what person A did 2 years ago, comes up with the same invention, pays for a patent search...sorry person B, EDIG filed the exact same thing 2 years ago and the patent is pending approval.
Go back outside and play....
