"It appears that they purchased only the name and their IP?? Bottom line question...Do they have responsibilities for Vivitars infringement?"

I would say it comes down to where Sakar gets the hardware from, ...for Vivitar its cameras.

You were the one that noted the Premier connection...lol

RE: Premier Image Technology "On October 27, 2006 Premier announced that it will formally merge with global electronics manufacturing service provider Foxconn (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) effective December 1, 2006. Taiwan-based Foxconn is the largest electronics manufacturing service provider in the world by revenue with sales of $27.3 billion in 2005."

Or could it be one of the current case.....

RE: DXG..."The U.S. digital camera market is ready to explode over the next several years¨ said Jackson Yu, President of DXG Technology Corp. ¡§ "For the first time in history, sales of digital cameras are expected to surpass those of film cameras in 2003 and one of the hottest growth categories is the sub $300 fashion camera. Ultimately in this category, consumers will make their decisions based on the camera's aesthetics as a fashion accessory. This is an area we excel from our years of experience in designing and manufacturing cameras for many of the world's leading name brands including Hitachi , Vivitar and others."

e.Digital is do exactly what they were doing when Vivitar brands was connected to Syntax - Brillian....They where not the manufacturers...Premier was...now Foxconn.
