"Is there no other removable flash memory than EDIG's? Nobody has done a "work around"?

The removable is one thing....what it comes down to is the matrix of the memory.

The NOR vs NAND thingy...and what gets adopted by the industry.

e.Digital has perfected ideas to drive files directly from NAND(the cheapest structure to gain density)...and are the first to do so.

That ability relates to their caching schemes....and e.Digital treats the NOR...even though it has the ability on its own to drive a file...in the same manner it treats the NAND....utilizing the same the caching methodologies. The problem for NOR is the ability to gain density...it's easier to gain density with NAND....SSD's are devised with NAND.

The removable is easy to display to a judge, or jury, the infringement of the caching schemes. That being the interruption of the schemes.....just pull the module when a file is executing from the host device caching mechanisms...and it stops playing. Or remove a module where the caching mechanisms are incorapated on the module controller and the same happens.

E.digital owns the controller ideas no matter where they are placed...within a removable module or on a host device.

Files can be run off a SSD in the same fashion.
