I'm wireless....have been for years now, seems fast enough for me...lol

Ipad, as a consumer product, all it needs is Wi-Fi for LAN network environment. If it's not on board....then it needs USB port or comparative....to plug in a Wi-Fi adapter.

You won't need the Wi-Fi for cafe freebie use if you're paying for the phone service...but it should be there if you're not into paying the fees.

But then, why bother buying it if your not into the phone consideration.

I'd don know...I need a fully functional laptop.....and no wires....and I like my phone on my belt.... bluetooth...no wires.....lol
