"Has EDIG developed the "layer of abstration" so that the API can be used for any processor?'

For now, lets just figure that the higher world of computing want to come down to the lower life forms of memory management.... when it comes to direct audio / video application details, as well as interfacing data conceived at higher levels for persistent... storage, while not needing the typical mapping details as BAN(Msystems) now Sandisk do.

e.Digital could be considered the abstraction layer allowing the bridge....as if the higher were responding to their own environment.

e.Digitals use of cheap memory is not only about persistent... storage.
