Yes, I agree about Star Wars III -- the last movie I have seen away from home. I went the first weekend while in LA and it was not full, a kid would not turn off his cell phone until I ``asked`` him to do so, and a couple just kept yackin` all the way through the film. That`s what I posted earlier with less detail. The ``experience`` in LA has gotten worse, not better. It is much better in the northern OC and Chino Hills area for reasons obvious to those who live out here.
Movie attendance is down, way down over the last few years:
``For 13 weekends in a row, box-office receipts have been down compared with a year ago, despite the blockbuster opening of the final ``Star Wars`` movie.``

This leaves room for a ``New`` way to view feature films. Would you pay $10 to ``rent`` a feature film before it`s DVD release? Some will not. I would if it`s a film I wanted to see since it is $15 cheaper than taking Ms. JHawk to Regal Rah Rah Rama -- and they don`t serve wine. Although there was a place in Nashville that served bar food and drinks with feature films about six weeks after release and before DVD / video release.
If EDIG can get into a branded product with their proven and major studio approved security platform, it could be a very good thing -- and yes, it is a Big IF -- but somebody has got to provide the security before studios will provide the CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT.
Oh, did I mention the ``it`s all about CONTENT`` part of this public service?
