I don't think I've used the word 'wear-leveling' too many times.

For e.Digital it directly relates to the way they manage non-contiguous data, where, ware leveling is somewhat an inherent process at this level.

At another level they have an optimization process that is not triggered every-time data is changed within an erase block. Their non-contiguous ability allows them to spread data out requiring a minimal of optimization.

That minimal optimization is yet the then regulated to maintain even ware across the erase blocks as needed.

There are two levels in this system... one inherent, and the other deliberate, but very minimal.
