I'm in the same boat Murph....
I read all this stuff earlier today, then logged out to think on it. Not being a legal type, not sure what it all means, but I'll share my thoughts, and ask the folks in the know to explain things for us.
Here's what it means to this layman:
It was obvious at some point in time, push back would occur. I also think the "good lawyering" has to do with the defense team(s) "milking their clients." Correct, that's what I said, running up the tab, so no offense to the legal types here...just a fact of life in that line of work, and an observation on my part.
The good news, is the contingency agreement.
When one buys a car, the price starts here, then settles for less, or no sale occurs. In this game, the demand starts here, then a compromise is reached, or a full fledged fight takes place to the end.
It's all about strategy on both sides...that's my take, but not from education or experience in law. I look forward to input by others....
