Treasury shares have no value, they are in limbo. My understanding.

I'm not sure if there is a accounting rule that states that a company can change the treasury share value in the equity portion of the Balance Sheet or not. I wouldn't think so.

We need a CPA to provide that answer.

Don't forget the value of the company is based on the outstanding shares and the current market price, treasury shares are not included.
