Air Sahara plumps for PEA
July 4, 2005 - INDIAN carrier Air Sahara is the latest operator to select California-based IMS Inflight’s PEA handheld IFE system.
Other PEA users include India’s Jet Airways, Harmony Airways of Canada and Brazilian carrier Varig.
Air Sahara plans to offer PEA initally on a pair of Boeing 737NGs flying its routes from New Delhi to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The system will subsequently be made available on other aircraft in the fleet, which comprises Boeing 737-400s, -700s and -800s, and seven Bombardier CRJ regional jets. Initial content will be five Hollywood and four Bollywood films.
Launch of the new service is being supported North Star Aerospace of Auburn, Washington, USA, IMS’ exclusive dealer in India.
