other judges in future cases have something to lean on with regard to the law and claims construction relating to the patents in question.
And that's not to say that future defendants can't raise other considerations they might have during claims construction...however, the current issues to be scrutinized by the court are most likely the strongest considerations that could be raised.
With that, IMO, some of what the defendants raise, has nothing to do with the patent in question, and they are leading into those issues as the most important of their considerations.
