IMO it was the INTEL relationship with EDIG and their plan to move into the consumer electronics field at the time of the CES convention along with the "disruptive tech" comments from the fund manager following EDIG, but it all ran together over the time of about one month. The Nasdaq comments didn't hurt either but they likely came after the stock moved due to other factors.

However, before the 2000 run from $1 to $24, it ran in 1999 from .07 to 3.74...long before any mention of a nasdaq listing.

The stock was hot because of the potential markets the patent portfolio covered and the overall market interest in high tech at the time.
