Trading stock and a position with the company for APS would have proven to have been a coup and then deal with Wencor or Rockwell Collins etc...giving them sole distribution rights and/or spin it off to them at some point. But at that time EDIG had cash flow issues and uncertainty in the IFE market. Still, Boyer could have been approached.
All water under the bridge as we await our next update in the next few weeks.
I think I threw this out last fical year. There`s always this fiscal year...KINO, kiosks and the continuing saga of IFE, which hopefully will yield some clarity as to how big that will become.
I don`t see them reinventing the digEplayer, not after ``IFE product of the Year`` honors were garnered with 13 airlines already being on board.
They might utilize the TDL with the digEplayers to increase efficiency for content refreshment.
As for the embedded system, they are apparently melding the best of both worlds...and you just have to think EDIG has to factor into that discussion. Manufacturing and licensing fees will continue to apply assuming that arrangement was a condition of the sale to APS/Wencor.
I love watching business evolve. Opportunities abound as the technology continues to seek new markets.
IFE this year, KINO/kiosks next year...one of these or the next deal could be the popper we have been waiting for and when that day dawns, I will be HERE, as many others who have continued to build their positions near the lows.
