SRAM and DRAM should not be compared....they are entirely different.
SRAM is a transistor based consideration not requiring refresh cycles....DRAM is a capacitor based consideration requiring refresh.
It's like comparing a top fuel dragster(SRAM) to a VW(DRAM) ...
They both have their place....and the cost to develop/manufacture are commensurate.
This is the same consideration between NOR vs. NAND......where NAND is the VW and NOR is the dragster. This contest also has the difference to develop /manufacture.
Thing is.....e.Digital brings the NAND on par with the NOR....
With that, and this has been highlighted by NORRIS.....as the (cheap my interpretation) memory issues improve with speed, so do the aspects of his ideas. We are a dozen years away from that comment and NAND has improved with read/write speed.
It will always be about cheap....no matter what the memory makeup when it comes to the masses...
