Mobile phone designer Emblaze Ltd. has filed suit against Apple Inc. alleging patent infringement.
Israel-based Emblaze said its U.S. patent -- which it has held since 2002 -- is infringed by Apple's HTTP live-streaming application.
The suit claims that Cupertino-based Apple launched its HTTP Live Streaming Standard in the middle of last year and it is embedded in devices that includes its iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Macs.
Emblaze is seeking unspecified damages and a judgment against Apple.
Meanwhile, Apple settled a patent infringement suit with Minerva Industries, according to a report Friday.
TechCrunch, citing Law360, said Minerva Industries filed suit against Apple in January 2008 over mobile media technology.
The two companies filed a joint motion to dismiss claims and said each would pay individual costs, according to TechCrunch.
