It seems to me that this is where the defense lawyers start racking up their hours, in discovery, while formulating their defense.
Which companies will see it as more prudent to settle earlier rather than later, thus minizing the costs of doing business?
Can a single legal team adequately defend all 16 defendants? Selecting a single firm also seems to be a cost cutting strategy. My guess is this indicates that settlement is quite likely.
$5 million times 16 = $80 million.........net $48 million to EDIG in that scenario.
Anyone think that the bar is set below $5 million per settlement?
That would be a good start to "dynamic".
